One Awesome Rock

Talk about long overdue posts, phew. I'm swamped with work *HELP!!!!*. It's a busy period, we're short of hands and I'm working 10-12 hour days T.T

But anyway... Y'know, this awesome possum Japanese rock band is going to Singapore soon and I WANT TO GO SO BAD!!

I've been following them since their first EP and the lead singer, Taka, way before when he was still part of NEWS.

How do 2 singers who perform in traditional Japanese garb produce an offspring that does such good rock??

Seriously though, this group just keeps getting better and better, and it's my dream to catch them live, something which I thought I'll have to go to Japan to do.

Day 12:

Vrroom!

I <3 it when the yearly F1 fever hits M'sia! It's also the time when I feel most connected to F1, and my now fledging passion for the sport picks up again.

Really wished I made the trip to Sepang this year. Great, great race for Ferrari and Fernando Alonso (one of my fav drivers!!).

Sad that the teams, drivers and foreign fans have now packed up and moved on. Dismal showing from Ferrari this weekend at Shanghai :(

Snap! Update

I'm 4 days + 1 (today) behind in my Snap! daily updates. I said no excuses, so I'm not going to bore you with those...

Technically I've failed the challenge, but since I kinda like doing Snap! posts, I'll upload the pics for the days I've missed and try to continue the challenge for what remains of the 30 days :)

Instagram's my de facto choice of mobile photo editing - I'm a dummy at all those photoshop mumbo jumbo - but I've recently discovered Leme Cam. 

Yes, yes, I've just found out about this app and solved the mystery of how pretty facebook photos not achieved with Instagram were made. Definitely no storks involved, nope.

Yeah, I know right, I've been living under a rock ever since coming back from my Martian-befriending mission to Mars XD

But anyway...Yay, more outlets that enable me to bombard you with pretentious photos that I pass off as "art" coz I'm a lousy photog! So cool, right? :D

Woots! 1U's Fashion On 1 Gala - First taste of what it feels like (pretty awesome, btw) to sit front row at a fashion show.

The bonus that made rushing through traffic on a Thursday evening worth it? Mizz Nina! 

Had no idea she'd be performing and I was so excited when she came on stage. I really like What You Waiting For and Takeover, which she performed; Mizz Nina's one of the few M'sian artistes lil' me can name offhand.

... And she was great! The energy was good and her dancers (sexay gals!) looked like they were having a great time too.

This one's Ticket To Ride. It's a beginner-friendly board game, not particularly exciting but fast paced and quite fun. 

It lacks the "gimmicks" of newer games such as colourful boards & tokens though, so be warned if you're the type that goes "ooh", "aah", and "so cute!" (like me!) :P

Btw, I love going to Meeples with friends. The atmosphere's usually cozy, the staff are generally friendly (unless you catch them during peak hours), and the selection of games are good. 

It's somewhat of a haven for me to escape into its cozy interior when I'm stressed. Weird, huh? I get a high from card & board (and card+board, ha ha) games XD
